Cloverdale Nursery: A Legacy of Quality and Passion
Founded in 1964 by Hans Borbonus, Cloverdale Nursery has a rich history rooted in both craftsmanship and nature. Hans, a skilled architect with a deep love for plants, emigrated from Germany and brought his heritage to life at the nursery. The unique character of the nursery reflects his passion, with stunning stained glass windows in the silo, antique cobblestones, terracotta roofing, and intricately carved pillars in the courtyard—elements that showcase his architectural background.
The land on which Cloverdale Nursery now thrives was originally a Dairy Farm in the 1950s. Our main office is housed in what was the farm’s milk barn, and just behind it stands the old silo that once served the farm. Since 1964, we’ve been proudly offering a variety of trees, shrubs, sod, and bulk products, with turf grown in Kuna and all plant products sourced from the Pacific Northwest.
